Community through Charity

At the heart of our community are the incredible local charities working tirelessly to create positive change. From providing essential resources to creating new opportunities for those in need, these dedicated teams are the real backbone of our neighbourhood. We believe that a thriving community lifts everyone up, and we are incredibly proud to support these local heroes. By championing their vital work, we hope to help them strengthen the community we all share and care about so deeply.

Every quarter we hand the reins to our team. A staff member is chosen to spotlight and support a charity that matters deeply to them, helping us give back to the causes that inspire our people.

Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity

The Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity raises vital funds to enhance the lives and treatment of more than 100,000 sick children cared for at the hospital each year. Because the NHS only covers core medical care, the charity steps in to fund state of the art medical equipment, ground breaking research into childhood diseases, and world class facilities. They are also dedicated to making the hospital experience as comfortable and reassuring as possible for young patients and their families by building welcoming spaces, like child-friendly play areas and specialised family centres, to provide comfort during incredibly difficult times.

Air Ambulance

Your local Air Ambulance is a vital, community-funded charity that delivers advanced pre-hospital critical care directly to the scenes of major medical emergencies and accidents. Operating via both high speed helicopters and specialised critical care cars, the service essentially brings the specialised capabilities of a hospital intensive care unit straight to the patient when every second counts treating severe trauma, cardiac arrests, and road traffic collisions. Under the banner of The Air Ambulance Service, this specific regional branch provides 24/7 lifesaving coverage across approximately 3,850 square miles spanning five English counties: Warwickshire, Northamptonshire, Derbyshire, Leicestershire, and Rutland. Because the charity receives no daily funding from the government or National Lottery, it relies entirely on the generosity of the local public and businesses to fund its missions, which average around £2,500 each time the crew is deployed.
