Training for the way you work
The installation of a new telemetry system affects a surprisingly large number of departments. Following the roll-out of a UK wide telemetry system for the gas networks, we delivered over 70 individual courses, spread across the UK and tailored in content to the needs of the recipients.
These ranged from strategic briefings for management, overviews for staff who were not directly working on the equipment but who needed to aware of the significance of the changes, through to highly detailed, hands-on courses for the technicians who worked with the equipment on a regular basis.
We also developed maintenance manuals for the system , including procedures to help with fault finding, and developed a suite of software to standardise the configuration of a disparate range of hardware.

Over the last twelve years, Brightwell have worked closely with National Grid to develop various bespoke courses to meet our training needs. These included the following:-
- Overview Courses - For new starters and managers
- Detailed Maintenance Courses - For technicians and supervisors
- Telemetry Configuration Courses - For designers and project staff
The training material provided came in various formats to enable us to train the large variety of staff in the most efficient and effective way. Examples of these included :-
- 'Trainer Led' PowerPoint presentations
- Offline CDs which utilised 'Visual Material With Voice Over'
All 'Trainer Led' courses were delivered in a very professional manner and the supporting technical documentation was very comprehensive and easy to use.
